Skanda (the six faced son of Lord Shiva, also known as Kartikeya,
Subrahmanya, Kumara Swamy) asked sri mahadeva
Skandha : Oh lord, jagat prabhu,
hey maha deva, parameshwara.. I am a child and I have doubts,
I am here to get clarification, please focus the light of
gnana (wisdom) on me.
It is said about rudraksha which purifies and gives punya
and nullifies the papa(sins) As per vama dakshina sidhanta
and in dakshina tantra Please tell us about its origin put
some more light on this

Rudra : Ages from now three
rakshas named as tripura due to the boons they earned, have
conquered swarga loka (heaven). Then sri Vishnu, bramha, indradi
devata’s came to me to get rid from the Tripurasura
and safe guard the deva loka, man kind, 14 lokas, I created
Aghora/ kalagni astra (weapon) and fought with Tripura this
went on for thousands of years.
Due to which I could not close my eyes and tears (aksham)
dropped out from eyes (aksha). From my Surya Netra (my right
eye) symbolizing the sun twelve varieties have come and my
left eye representing the moon (the soma netra) sixteen varieties
Then the bramha for the benefit of man kind has blessed my
tears dropped on earth to become trees and those were named
as rudraksha (rudra+aksha).
Since then the super bead , sri rudraksha is
became boon for all man kind from ages and generations |
